Three Fires Indigenous History Program

The Three Fires Indigenous History Program is an initiative of the Milwaukee County Historical Society dedicated to preserving, sharing, and promoting the histories, cultures, and enduring contributions of Indigenous peoples through education, storytelling, and community engagement.

Inspired by the traditions and teachings of the Three Fires Confederacy, our work seeks to foster greater understanding of Indigenous history while creating opportunities for meaningful dialogue between communities. We believe that learning about the past strengthens our ability to build respectful relationships, celebrate cultural diversity, and create a more informed future.

Through presentations, workshops, educational resources, and community partnerships, we provide engaging learning experiences that highlight Indigenous perspectives and encourage lifelong learning.
